My Journey to Wholeness
My journey to wholeness began at birth, rooted in a deep knowing that we are here to heal and return to an innate wholeness we’ve forgotten along the way. This inner pull became clearer in 2007 during my third year at Brock University, where I studied both Eastern and Western Psychology. Immersed in Buddhism, Hinduism, and approaches like Transpersonal, Experiential, and EcoPsychology, I discovered liberating ways of seeing and being that changed my life.
At the time, I was unknowingly experiencing panic attacks—overwhelmed by academic pressure and future expectations. A course in Eastern Psychology and a winter Yogalates class sparked a profound shift I didn’t yet understand would shape the path ahead.
After graduating, I fell just short of the marks needed for a Psychology Master’s program. Though initially disheartened, I eventually realized my healing path was meant to unfold differently. In 2011, after attending a 10-day Intensive with Joanna Macy, Ecophilosher and Buddhist Scholar, I was inspired to become a Yoga Teacher and soon after enrolled in a 300-hr Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Therapy Toronto. Yoga has remained a guiding thread in my life ever since.
In 2013, I launched Journey to Wholeness, offering Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Therapies and Yoga inspired by my studies at YTT and the Andrea Olivera Centre. This sparked a love for bodywork, leading me to train in Indian Head Massage, Ayurvedic Abhyanga, Hot Stone Therapy, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, and Soundwork.
In 2017, I returned to school to become a Registered Massage Therapist and graduated in 2018. The journey continued in 2019 when I deepened my Yoga Therapy studies in Chennai, India, under Dr. N. Chandrasekaran. When the pandemic hit, I was able to complete my training in Guelph with his senior teacher, Barbara Quinlan, finishing my certification and internship in 2022.
After becoming an RMT, I explored holistic facial therapies, completing Ayurvedic Facial training with Alessandra Ventrone and later the Facial Therapy course at Gina’s College. I now offer facials that blend these two lineages.
In 2024, I finally took the long-awaited leap and began the Expressive Arts Therapy program at CREATE Institute, bringing together 18 years of healing exploration into one integrative path.
Each morning, I wake with a deep desire to share the healing powers of Nature-Based Expressive Arts, Yoga and Massage Therapy with the world! These practices have transformed my life, and I wish nothing more than to offer these gifts to others—gifts that guide us back to our innate wholeness.
